Louisville Deep or Flat Seat
Our unique Saddle Seat cut back spring tree has been further enhanced by the improving of the Longitudinal (length) flexibility of the tree enabling it to flex with the movement of the horse’s motion. We have over several years exhaustingly been testing a combination of layers of Birch Wood ply to obtain the optimum flex with maximum strength. We have completed our research and incorporated it into several of our European models and is now available in our cut back models. This is a truly unique innovation and is a tremendous advancement in the comfort of the horse.

The Beaufort
Beaufort Flat or Deep Seat
The Beaufort™ Flat Seat Cut Back Show Saddle incorporates a laminated birch wood and spring steel tree, which is designed and made in our tree department. Our unique tree has been has been sculptured to the riders thigh allowing the hips to drop in a more perpendicular angle, which allows the legs a more comfortable and natural position. We have streamlined the seat for a classic look while retaining the superb comfort and durability that has been the hallmark of our cut back saddles for many years. The panels are constructed using the finest English pure wool felt and natural latex rubber then shaped to correspond to the contours of the tree and the anatomy of the rider, ensuring a perfect symmetry of the two. This model is double skinned and covered in luxurious English Ultra-Tack™ Calf skin for maximum grip and security for the rider. This saddle has all the attributes that has made our cut back saddles the “Elite” premier brand on the market for over four decades.
Our unique Patented L&R® five position adjustable stirrup bar made in England using the finest grade stainless steel are hand assembled by master craftsmen. All of our saddle trees are designed in house and hand crafted in our own tree department by master tree makers with unparalleled experience in the industry.
Each and every item used in the construction of our saddles that can be, is sourced in England from the finest materials available.

We recommend the use of Calf Skin Stirrup leathers on the Beaufort or any of our models that have the option of being constructed with Calf Skin on the exterior of the saddle. This will reduce friction and premature wear which can happen with conventional style stirrup leathers.
