In The Workshop
I love to be in my workshop! It’s where I can be creative and my passion really comes through.
Feel free to browse through before & after pictures of some of my projects, hints or tips on how to care for your saddle, and more.
If you have any questions, or would like to discuss having your saddle worked on, please contact me.
Tracings
Tracings can seem a bit overwhelming. Here is an example of using them for just a quick check to see if a saddle is in the ball park to work for your horse.
Rivets
Sometimes rivets can pop and you might not notice. On this saddle, the stirrup bar has popped off in addition to one of the rivets on the tree. I circled the open hole that shows the missing rivet in the tree. Always a good idea to have your tree inspected. This came...
New Stirrup Bars
Been so busy I forgot to take pictures. This is the third pair of stirrup bars I've replaced this week. Getting a good work out with all of the rivets!
Employee Lounge
It is nice having a swanky employee lounge. Not only do I get warm coffee but when the boys are sick, they have fun coming to work with Mommy.
New Knee Blocks
Here are some knee blocks that got removed. I was asked to make them look a bit nicer. I remade them and made it look a bit tidier.
The Saddle Geek
I just read a great article by Jen at The Saddle Geek page about saddle fitting. She does a great job of explaining the process and some things to think about when looking for fitters. I highly suggest checking it out at thesaddlegeek.com.
Reflock
This is an old Stubben that is almost brand new as in it is old but has hardly been used. A client picked it up and it is perfect for her but the flocking hit very hard from just sitting for years. Reflocking and sending it back to finally get broken in.
Clean and Polish
Is so fun!! I love making old saddles look new. I used all original hardware except I did replace the Dee rings as they were really rusty.
Flap Reinforcement

Short or Long Billets
One great way to get a different feel in your jump saddle is to swap out the short billets for long. Talk about feeling more like a monoflap...
Serge Panels
Serge Panels seem to be a mystery. I love them because I can be so precise in adjusting them. I just use my round awl and can adjust anywhere.
Couldn’t help myself
This saddle didn't come in for a dye but I couldn't myself.
